Len has been a Professional Photographer
for over 35 years and has run successful Studios
in Cardiff, Chepstow and Haverfordwest. His high street S
tudios in Cardiff
has been in the fore front of Professional Photography for many years, becoming
the first photographer to become a Fellow of the Master Photographers Association
in Wales. Len has won many awards for his style of photography including Portraiture
Photographer of the year, Kodak Portrait winner, Agfa Portrait winner, Digital
Art Photographer of the year and many monthly awards with the SWPP.
The course will be based over two days and
will cover all topics required in running a successful Studio. Ideal for someone
wanting to start out in Professional Photography as well as someone who just
w
ants
to take better portrait shots of their children. There will be plenty of hands
on experience for everyone, and lots of opportunity to produce some fine Portraits
for your portfolio.
Much time will also be spent outdoors looking at how to subtract lighting, creating studio lighting outside. It is this lighting that will win you many awards and is a secret that many professionals keep to themselves!

All aspects of Portraiture will be covered, including types of portraiture, pricing, business, web page design, posing, working with digital. Len will demonstrate his Studio work, taking a selection of different studies from children to adults, close ups to groups, taken in the Studio and on Location. Models will be supplied for you to get some stunning work both outdoors and indoors.

Communication is essential to create the right expressions.
Working on location will also be covered and
understanding subtractive and additive lighting both outdoors and indoors.
We work with digital, where we will show you how to get the best from the
image. There are computers available for you to use during the course. At
the end of the course images will be printed out for you.
There will be time to relax and unwind and
enjoy the
beauty of Pembrokeshire's coastline. Take a few days out, and bring the spouse
if you wish. There is plenty to do and see for the non photographer.
